Jennifer Beals Has a Baby Girl

Actress Jennifer Beals and her husband, Ken L. Dixon, had their first child together, a healthy baby girl, last month, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

"The family is very happy and Jennifer and the baby are doing great," says her spokesperson. The baby's name has not been released.

Beals, 41, who stars on the hit show The L Word, is best known for her star turn in the 1983 film Flashdance. Dixon is a Canadian entrepreneur, who has two children from a previous marriage.
