Patrick, 23, who placed fourth in the 2005 Indy 500, and Hospenthal, 40, walked down the aisle on Nov. 19 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Though she is accustomed to driving at 200-plus mph, Patrick told PEOPLE earlier this year that one of her favorite things is sharing life in the slow lane with Hospenthal and their miniature schnauzer, William Robert, who they call Billy.
"She's kind of a TV junkie," Hospenthal says of Patrick, who also enjoys barbecuing and working out. "But you won't see her watching much racing."
"Gosh, did I make mistakes," the 5’2", 100-lb. Patrick told reporters later. Of her driving, Patrick whose performance at the race was the highest finish for a woman ever at the event, told PEOPLE that her intuition is her secret weapon on the race track. "I can see things happening and have time to react to them. I think that is a special gift."
At the end of the day, Patrick left the infield holding hands with Hospenthal, who she met while seeking treatment for a hip injury from a yoga session.
