Remember Bennifer? Former lovebirds Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez started the trend of star twosomes with clever nicknames – but in 2005, the number of mono-monikered couples skyrocketed.

This year introduced new pairings (Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – "Brangelina," Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn – "Vaughniston," Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise – "TomKat"); new parents (Britney Spears and Kevin Federline – "Spederline"); newlyweds (Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher – "Ashmi") and even a whole new Bennifer (Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck – a.k.a. "Garfleck").
