Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has filed a libel lawsuit against a British tabloid that claimed she engaged in "sex romps" with men in a van outside her home, the Associated Press reports.
According to Schillings, the London law firm representing Hatcher, the 40-year-old actress vehemently denies stories published by the Daily Sport claiming that she had sex with men in a Volkswagen van parked in front of her Los Angeles home.
She "bitterly refutes these offensive allegations," her lawyers said.
The articles stated that Hatcher "engages in sex romps on a regular basis with a series of men in a VW van parked outside her L.A. home for this purpose," according to her law firm, which also asserts that those stories "were repeated extensively elsewhere in many countries."
Hatcher, a single mother of Emerson Rose, 8, plays accident-prone divorcée Susan Mayer ABC's Sunday night hit. Her case is expected to go before the High Court in London next year.
