Somebody get Sharon Stone a fire extinguisher. The harried actress, activist and single mother of two admits that juggling so many aspects of her life is "a little like running around with your hair on fire." And she has two simple requests: "I would like to have a bath one day soon, and maybe pee."

Still, she managed to glam up in an elegant black evening gown to receive the 2005 Spirit of Liberty Award at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., recently. The honor for her work as the chairwoman of the amFAR Campaign for AIDS Research "means a lot to me because this is an organization that, as they say, fights the good fights and for the right reasons," she told us.

Recently, Stone – who's been writing songs for several years – collaborated with Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich on the single "Come Together Now," featuring Celine Dion, Wyclef Jean, Patti LaBelle, The Game, Joss Stone, Ruben Studdard, Kimberly Locke and other stars. Proceeds from the tune will go to Hurricane Katrina relief. But don't expect to see the actress (whose sequel to Basic Instinct is due out in March) behind the mic anytime soon. "You know, I am not at all good at singing," she says.

Food for Thought
Most people are thrilled to lose weight, but not Jeremy Piven. "It's a bummer – I love to eat," the Entourage star says of shedding 20 lbs. for his role in the crime-caper comedy Smokin' Aces, which he's currently filming. "I've been very, very grumpy." How'd he do it? "Discipline, man. Just amping up the cardio and mixing it up – and not eating at night."

But he is ready to sink his teeth into the new season of his hit HBO show, which starts shooting in February. "They haven't shown me any episodes – let me read something. I just feel like they need to throw me some raw meat," he told us at Hollywood Life magazine's Breakthrough of the Year Awards. "I need to chew on something."
