SHADY DUO: Eminem revealed that he and ex-wife Kimberly Mathers are back together – despite their ugly divorce and custody battle over their young daughter, Hailie Jade, now 10. Speaking on Detroit radio station WKQI-FM's Mojo in the Morning show, Eminem, 33, said: "We have reconciled and are probably going to remarry." During the interview, which was in conjunction with Tuesday's release of his greatest hits compendium Curtain Call, the rapper referred to Kimberly Mathers, 30, as "my wife Kim." The two were married in 1999 and split acrimoniously two years later.
BASEBALL'S BABE: Not long after Violet Anne Affleck was born in L.A. on Dec. 1, weighing in at 6 lbs., 14 oz., pals of her famous father were making sure she got his religion: baseball. "We're going to raise this baby right," Marc McGovern, one of Ben Affleck's oldest buddies from his hometown of Cambridge, Mass., told PEOPLE. "So she's definitely going to be getting a lot of baby Red Sox gear in the mail from me." Meanwhile, Violet and her parents, Affleck and Jennifer Garner, are already at home in their new roles as Mom and Dad. "Ben has been changing diapers. He's an amazing father," says a friend of the couple's. "I don't know if I've ever seen anybody happier. He's already wrapped around Violet's little finger."
CAREY COMEBACK: Thursday brought good news to Mariah Carey. With the announcement of the 48th annual Grammy Awards nominations, the songbird finalized her storied comeback by earning eight nods, including record, album and song of the year, as well as for best female pop vocalist. Also earning eight nods were John Legend and Kanye West. "This is incredible," Carey told CBS's Early Show. "I feel blessed to be a part of today. I feel blessed for having this incredible year. I'm just grateful for everything I have." Six nominations went to 50 Cent, Beyonce Knowles, The Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am and Stevie Wonder.
ANISTON ARGUMENT: The photographer being sued by Jennifer Aniston for allegedly taking topless pictures of her outside her home says he never intended to market the shots – and admonishes the former Friends star for sunning herself in her nearly nude state to begin with. "She's the one who went out there topless," Peter Brandt told ABC News. "I didn't go looking for it." Brandt, 53, says he was only looking to take photos of Aniston and Vince Vaughn, and he denies that he was trespassing on her property, as the actress's lawsuit asserts he was doing. "She has no fences around her backyard," Brandt said. "I did not trespass."
