Arrest Warrant for Reese's Photographer
Todd Kevin Wallace, 44, has been free on his own recognizance while awaiting trial on six misdemeanor charges stemming from the Sept. 2 incident at Disney's California Adventure. An Orange County city attorney's office requested Friday's hearing after learning that Wallace had been arrested on Dec. 5 for allegedly stealing from an electronics store in the San Fernando Valley, the Associated Press reports.
At California Adventure, which is adjacent to the original Disneyland, Wallace allegedly became angry and started cursing when Witherspoon and her friends declined to be photographed. Police said Wallace at first kept his distance but once he closed in on this subjects he became aggressive and scared some of the people, including some children, who were in tears. Initial reports said he assaulted some park employees.
Wallace had posted $20,000 bail and was freed after the arrest pending arraignment on a felony charge of petty theft with a prior conviction, said Nancy Lidamore of the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.
AP, citing state corrections records, goes on to report that Wallace served more than four years in prison after a 1993 conviction for second-degree burglary and receiving goods by fraud. He could not be reached for comment.
