The Shield star Catherine Dent and her husband, Peter, have welcomed a baby boy, PEOPLE has learned.
"They feel like their new son is the best holiday present they could have ever received," says Dent's publicist Susan Madore. "They're enjoying their time alone with the baby."
This is the first child for the couple, whose son was born on Dec. 14 in Los Angeles. No other details were available.
Dent, who plays office Danielle "Danny" Soder on the hit FX drama, has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including One Life to Live, The Sopranos, The Majestic, and 21 Grams.
