After last year's Dancing with the Stars was a surprise hit – causing a nation to cry out, "John O'Hurley was robbed!" – ABC has brought back the contest for a second spin around the ballroom. PEOPLE looks at the latest celebs getting ready to rumba, plus other events to watch for in the coming week:

With star Zach Braff up for a best actor Golden Globe, NBC finally kicks off the new season of Scrubs with two back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. ET. (Look out for Braff's real-life girlfriend, Mandy Moore, who's set to appear in future eps as a love interest for J.D.)

THURSDAY, JAN. 5: Ever wonder if where-are-they-now celebs such as Tia Carrere and George Hamilton can cut a rug as well as Kelly Monaco and John O'Hurley? Here's your chance to find out, when the second season of Dancing with the Stars debuts on ABC (8 p.m. ET). Other celeb hoofers include Tatum O'Neal, Lisa Rinna, Master P and former 98 Degrees pop star Drew Lachey (otherwise known as Nick's brother).
