Leonardo DiCaprio was injured while filming The Blood Diamond in Africa on Friday, the actor’s rep tells PEOPLE.
He "sustained a minor leg injury on the set of the film Blood Diamond which is currently filming in Mozambique. He received medical attention, and was back at work today," the rep said in a statement on Saturday.
DiCaprio was flown to neighboring South Africa for medical treatment, a hospital official told Reuters.
"He walked into the hospital grounds surrounded by bodyguards," said Robyn Baard, spokeswoman for the Nelspruit Medi-Clinic, who added that the actor consulted a doctor for about two hours and then left.
No information has been released about how DiCaprio was hurt.
The Blood Diamond, which also stars Oscar-winner Jennifer Connelly, is due for release later this year. The film, directed by Edward Zwick, is about two men who find a rare gem that can change their lives.
