• Ashlee Simpson, bubbling over about boyfriend Braxton Olita at a party for the Tsubi clothing line at The Tom Tom Club in Santa Monica. "He's just so great and I'm really in love," she told a pal at the bar. The singer – who tipped the bartender $20 for four glasses of champagne for her friends – also hung out with sister Jessica Simpson, who was trailed by security. Also on the scene: Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, along with Ashley's beau, businessman Greg Chait (who works for Tsubi).

• Tyra Banks and her entourage, wading through a throng of paparazzi to get into West Hollywood organic eatery Urth Café, a favorite place of Nicole Richie and Jake Gyllenhaal.

• LL Cool J, hanging out at an event announcing cable channel BET's fall programming in New York City. Also there: Mary J. Blige, who got the crowd on their feet as she performed her hits "My Life" and "Be Without You."

• Helena Christensen, gushing about pal Gwyneth Paltrow's new son Moses at a party the supermodel hosted for rockers Grand Avenue at London club Paper. "He is one of the most beautiful babies ever with these huge big eyes," Christensen told us. "He has one of the most expressive faces on a baby I have ever seen."

• Cher, checking out dance-pop group the Scissor Sisters from the balcony of New York City's Bowery Ballroom. The singer-actress was joined by Rescue Me star Dean Winters, who greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.

• Jude Law and ex-wife Sadie Frost, spending time with their children at Disneyland. When a fan approached the actor for an autograph, he shooed her away and told her he was hanging out with his kids.
