Falling in love has made Tori Spelling a bit of a daredevil. The actress, who admits she's "afraid of everything – even my own shadow," says all that changed when she met fiancé Dean McDermott.

"I went snowboarding for the first time in Colorado and I was really scared. I had a blast. We were supposed to do it for one day but ended up staying for three days," the So NoTorious star told us at a Travel & Leisure party at the W Hotel in Westwood, Calif., recently. Still, Spelling isn't willing to give up her sense of style on the slopes. "I'm really excited to get a pink snowboard. You still have to look cute. I only do sports when I can look cute."

Dumping Ground

It may be hard to believe, but Luke Wilson – who stars in the family film Hoot, out May 5 – claims that his former flames aren't exactly clamoring to get back together with him. "They always tend to leave and just want to be done with me," he says.

He gets some sweet justice in his upcoming film Super Ex-Girlfriend, where his regular-guy character becomes the object of revenge by his superhero ex (played by Uma Thurman) after he dumps her. "It was fun because people would ask me what I was working on and they wouldn't even be listening to me past, 'Yeah, then I leave Uma Thurman's character.' Guys would say, 'Wait a minute! You leave Uma Thurman?' and I would say, 'Yeah, why is that so unbelievable?' "

Caught in the Act

Katie Couric, being mobbed by fans at a We Are Family Foundation gala at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. The Carmen Marc Valvo-clad newswoman turned up to support her musician-producer pal Nile Rodgers (of famed disco group Chic), who's involved with the nonprofit (which encourages ethnic tolerance). Tommy Hilfiger, Quincy Jones and Elton John were honored at the event.

Diddy, partying the night away at a closing celebration for Miami Beach hot spot Crobar (they'll be remodeling and renovating until Halloween). When the club finally shut down at 5 a.m., Diddy reportedly continued the festivities over at his home in Star Island and even brought Crobar deejay Erick Morillo with him to spin.
