Jessica Simpson take note: In one week, both Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have taken a walk on the dark side, ditching their blonde tresses for new black dos. And what does a girl do when she goes edgy? In New York City, Spears went on a shopping spree with 9-month-old son Sean Preston in her arms, picking up several pairs of sunglasses. Hilton, meanwhile, only made a temporary tress-formation: She donned a long, black wig at London's Wireless Festival, where she chatted up Gnarls Barkley frontman Cee-Lo. All we need is one more flaxen-haired celeb to go brunette and it's a trend.

Drew: Father Knows Best

Nick Lachey has one special little lady in his life – and we're not talking about Vanessa Minnillo. Brother Drew's 3-month-old daughter Isabella Claire has him wrapped around her tiny finger. "We send him pictures of her every couple of days so he has the latest and greatest pictures on his Treo so he can show her off," says Drew. "The godfather has got to stay in touch with what's going on."

But the Dancing with the Stars champ isn't quite ready for Uncle Nick to venture into baby-sitting territory just yet. "I have to see his diaper-changing skills in action because he's a little rusty," the doting dad told us at Wrigley's Extra Long Dance-a-Thon, a fund-raising event for New York City public schools.

Caught in the Act
