LeAnn Rimes was resting Tuesday after having outpatient surgery for a leg infection, according to her publicist.

The Grammy-winning country singer, 23, had suffered a "tear in the tissue" that became infected and forced the cancellation of three performances on her "This Woman" tour, said rep Diana Baron.

"She is doing just fine," Baron told the Associated Press. "She's now resting in a hotel room. She won't be able to travel for a day or two."

Baron said she did not know what caused the infection.

Rimes is set to resume her tour on July 19 at the Country Thunder USA festival in Twin Lakes, Wis.

She'd cancelled concerts scheduled for Thursday in Hampton Beach, N.H., and Friday and Saturday in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
