The couple, whose son Kingston is three months old, bought the house from film producer and businessman Sam Nazarian, who bought the property from Lopez in 2004 for a reported $12.5 million.
The 10,000-sq.-ft., four-bedroom house, built in 1998, is in a gated community off Mulholland Drive and rests at the end of a 250-ft. driveway with its own gate. Nazarian tells the Journal the ultra-private home is "designed for a celebrity."
Also on the two-acre property: tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool and a screening room.
Nazarian, whose producing credits include last year's Edward Norton movie Down in the Valley, also owns restaurants, nightclubs and hotels, including nine in Los Angeles.
