Jaime Pressly Engaged, But Not Pregnant
Cubiche and Pressly
Jaime Pressly is engaged to her boyfriend, DJ Eric Cubiche, the Emmy-nominated My Name Is Earl star tells PEOPLE.
"We went away for the weekend to Long Beach, and he gave (the ring) to me then," Pressly said Thursday night at a fashion show for the spring/summer '07 collection of her J'aime line, held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel as a benefit for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – and where Cubiche took over the turntables as the party continued into the night.
"We designed it together a little over a month ago, so it was up to him as to when he was going to go pick it up, pay for it and give it to me," she said of her ring. "We designed it at XIV Karats."
Although the two have been dating for the past year and a half, "He's been one of my best friends for nine years," said Pressly, 29, "so I was just kind of peeking around every corner and searching in every drawer to see when I was going to get it."
So when's the big day? "We're not actually planning a wedding right now," she said. "Realistically, it could be three or four years from now before we get married. … We'll get married when we're ready."
And even though she's a designer, she won't necessarily design her gown. "Badgley Mischka, who designed my dress for the Emmys, called and said they would really love to design the dress, so I'm sure I'll be working with them on something."
Pressly doesn't feel any different now that she's a bride-to-be. "When you've been with somebody … as long as we have, nothing changes," she said. "It's a beautiful ring on my finger, but it just kind of solidifies it all and lets everybody else know that it's real – something we already knew."
When a PEOPLE reporter mentions that there's a certain story about her making the rounds, Pressly finished the sentence. "That I'm pregnant?" she said. "No – you can get rid of that rumor."
