• Claire Danes, spilling drinks on Uma Thurman and Stanley Tucci at the Sundance Institute's 25th anniversary party in New York City. The actress was playing cocktail waitress on the red carpet – along with other enlisted stars, including Thurman, Tucci and Paul Newman – when she lost her balance, tipped her tray and doused Thurman and Tucci, who jokingly yelled "You're fired!" as the red-faced actress mopped up her black pants using napkins that fellow waiter-actor Peter Dinklage quickly delivered to her. All the celebrity waiters had to list their five worst jobs on the front of their long-sleeved T-shirts. Danes copped to being a competitive eater – but clearly not a waitress.

• Lindsay Lohan, hopping onstage to sing Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire," Stevie Nicks's "Edge of Seventeen" and Gladys Knight & the Pips' "Midnight Train to Georgia" at karaoke night at Guy's in West Hollywood. "The crowd was going crazy for Lindsay," says a clubgoer. "They were cheering, dancing, and singing right along with her."

• Vanessa Minnillo, partying in New York City at a launch bash for Piperlime, the Gap's new online shoe shop, at the Hotel Gansevoort penthouse. Other celebs making the scene at the event, hosted by celeb stylist Rachel Zoe: Rosario Dawson, Parker Posey and Lucy Liu, who sipped the night's specialty drink, lime martinis, and feasted on caviar, dumplings, sushi and mini-brownies.

• Emmitt Smith, dining with three male friends at Beverly Hills eatery Mastro's Steakhouse.

• Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, spinning Donatella Versace around at a dinner the fashion diva hosted at New York City's Gramercy Park Hotel for Allure editor Linda Wells's new book, Allure: Confessions of a Beauty Editor.

• Salma Hayek, having a girls lunch with her mom and pals at the Mauro Café at Fred Segal on Melrose.

• Brooke Shields, reading to kids at the kickoff event for Toys for Tots Million Toy Drive at Toys R' Us in New York City's Times Square. Later, she escorted children around the store to buy gifts to donate to the toy drive, which provides presents to impoverished kids around the country.

• Tommy Lee, hanging out with Rock Star: Supernova winner Lukas Rossi and a blonde female companion at the Ivy in Los Angeles. "They were having a very pleasant, mellow lunch," says an onlooker.

• Kirsten Dunst, dancing to a Guns N' Roses song atop a banquette at New York City bar Revolver. Nearby, supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Adriana Lima hung out with several tattooed guys.

• Orlando Bloom, hanging with two male friends at Dominick's in West Hollywood. "They were eating spaghetti and meatballs," says an onlooker. "They were acting like guys, having fun." On another evening, Bloom stepped out to check out U.K. band the Kooks at Hollywood club Safari Sam's Check Yo' Ponytail pary. "Women were coming up to him all night," a clubgoer tells us.

• Courtney Love, Nicolas Cage and Oliver Stone, talking politics over dinner at Mortons in West Hollywood. "The term 'Iraq War' got thrown around a lot," says an onlooker. "Otherwise, they were enjoying each other’s company, laughing plenty."

• Larry Hagman, wearing a huge white Stetson at a party for Joel Grey's photography book, Looking Hard at Unexamined Things, at the Beverly Hills Lacoste store. Hagman – looking like J.R. Ewing – told us that when Nip/Tuck approached him to do a guest-starring role, he had no clue about the show. "But then I watched the episode about the 600-lb. woman they had to cut off the couch and it was so sensitive and well-written, I said, 'Why the hell not?' "

• Marilyn Manson, reveling at an L.A. art gallery opening featuring his work. Stars including Evan Rachel Wood and Giovanni Ribisi perused the rocker's ghoulish watercolors, which included a portrait of Angelina Jolie with nails piercing one of her arms and an eye missing. One partygoer dressed as Manson himself, causing some confusion since the fake Manson and the real Manson were dressed almost identically.
