Since they returned from their honeymoon in the Maldives
, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been busier than ever, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.
The pair spent two weeks after their Nov. 18 nuptials
chilling out on a yacht owned by Australian media heir James Packer and at the exclusive Kurumba Resort on a private island. And despite a tropical storm, they were all smiles when they headed home on Dec. 1.
Now back in L.A., this weekend they'll throw a post-wedding party at the home of Cruise's longtime producing partner, Paula Wagner, for friends who couldn't make it to their lavish Italian wedding.
And Cruise is already getting to work on his latest project: helping run the United Artists movie studio, which he and Wagner are relaunching with MGM
Meanwhile, Holmes and 7-month-old daughter Suri are getting back into the Hollywood social swing. On Dec. 4 they both popped by the Sunset Marquis Hotel & Villas for a visit with Holmes's new BFF, Victoria Beckham, in town for a magazine photo shoot. "They talked about how great the wedding was," says a Beckham friend.
They're not the only ones reminiscing about those dazzling nuptials. "There was just a lot of heart and soul," Cruise's Jerry Maguire
director, Cameron Crowe, tells PEOPLE. "They're the real deal, and I'm so happy for them."
