Courteney Cox Arquette has laid to rest any hopes of getting back together with the old gang from Friends – but says she might soon share screen time with her former costar Jennifer Aniston, on Dirt.

"There's going to be no Friends reunion," Arquette said Tuesday at the Television Critics Association conference in Pasadena, Calif. "It's too hard to get everyone together. The writers are doing their thing, and I just can't see it happening – not that I wouldn't do it, because it would be fun."

On the other hand, Aniston has expressed interest in making a guest appearance on Dirt, the new FX show in which Arquette plays the editor-in-chief at a tabloid magazine in Los Angeles.

"Jennifer loves the show. She's already like, 'What am I going to do?" says Arquette, who recently vacationed with her pal in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. "We were like, 'Okay, if you came on the show, would you want to play yourself, or do we write a fantastic character for you, or you know maybe you take Dirt down?' "

No definite plans for the collaboration have been made, but "we'll think of something good if it happens," promises Arquette.

As for how Arquette, 42, balances motherhood with her new starring role, she says she brings 2-1/2-year-old daughter Coco to the set.

"She even goes to school at Paramount sometimes," adds Arquette. "It's really important that she's there. That's been helpful."
