Paul Sorvino Pulls Gun on Daughter's Ex-Boyfriend
Goodfellas actor Paul Sorvino saw some real-life action of his own when he pulled a gun on his daughter's ex-boyfriend earlier this month.
Sorvino's daughter Amanda, 36, testified in court on Tuesday that her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Snee, 21, pounded on her door and threatened to kill her at a hotel in Stowe, Vt., on Jan. 3, according to the Associated Press.
Amanda Sorvino said she locked herself in the bathroom called the police and her dad – but her 67-year-old father showed up first and pulled a gun on Snee.
"He got in my father's face and said, 'Go ahead, Paul, shoot, I ain't done nothing wrong,' " Sorvino told a judge in Monroe County, N.Y.
The showdown ended peacefully when police arrived and arrested Snee for disorderly conduct, said Sorvino, who was seeking – and was granted – a protection-from-abuse order against her ex.
Sorvino said that she and Snee met when he was hired to care for her horses, the AP reports. They began dating, but when the relationship soured, he began threatening her and her father "if he ever got in the way," she said.
Paul Sorvino, who was not in court Tuesday, played Lucchese mob capo Paul Cicero in Goodfellas and has appeared in movies including That Championship Season, Nixon and The Cooler.
He is also the father of Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino, 39.
