Some die-hard Police fans will not only have a chance to catch an exclusive Police gig next week – they may well be the first to hear the news of a reunion tour.

The Police will reteam for a performance at the Grammys on Sunday, and on Monday morning will play an "historic event," dubbed "The Police Rehearsals," at the Whisky A Go Go in honor of the band's 30th anniversary, according to Sting's Web site.

Sting.com members have until midnight Feb. 8 to register for the offer, and 20 lucky fans will be selected to attend the show.

Members of the media have also been invited to the rehearsal, fueling rumors that a reunion tour will be announced at the event.

Reps for Sting declined to comment.

Canada's Edmonton Sun reported Thursday that Sting and Police drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers have been spotted around Vancouver in the past weeks and are reportedly rehearsing at a studio on the North Shore there.

And Sting's own Web site hints that the trio's gig on Feb. 12 will be big news.

"After the event, we would like the winners to each submit to us 250 words that describes their experience of the day," says a release on Sting.com, which is issued by the singer's management company. "We can say with some certainty that none of you will be lost for words!"
