Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar were not satisfied with just one wedding. The couple celebrated their union with two ceremonies – one British and one Indian – and kept the festivities going for a week.
The wedding photo album from the events are all featured in this week's PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.
The first part of their marathon celebration, which started with an emotional Anglican ceremony before 300 guests on March 3, was all English: a medieval estate, a bunch of Bentleys, a good grey rain.
The guest list included Elton John and husband David Furnish, Elle Macpherson, Eva Herzigova, designer Valentino and Prince Pavlos of Greece.
When Hurley, 41, and Nayar, 42, moved from Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire to Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, British reserve gave way to Indian splendor.
There were dancing white horses, walkways lined in millions of red chili peppers and a week of endless parties for 200 or so revelers who danced and ate and one night slept outside under tents.
At the center of it all was the Hindu wedding ceremony on March 9: In an open courtyard the bride and groom circled a sacred fire as Hindu priests chanted in Sanskrit.
For more photos of Hurley and Nayar's wedding celebration, including the bride's pink sari and her Roberto Cavalli party gown, pick up PEOPLE on newsstands Friday.
