Ellen DeGeneres Selling $24 Million Estate
Originally posted Friday March 30, 2007 12:00 PM EDT
Ellen DeGeneres stands to make a killing at real estate.
The talk show host, 49, has put her four-acre California estate on the market for $24 million – $8.25 million more than the $15.75 million she paid for it six months ago, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The Mediterranean-style mansion in Montecito contains four-bedrooms, a wine cellar, billiards room, library, office and a second-floor, 1,300-sq.-ft. master suite that also features a balcony and an art studio, says the newspaper, relying on the property listing.
The main house was constructed in 1926 and remodeled in 2004. Besides that structure, there are also two guest cottages, a tennis court, a pool and spa, as well as formal gardens.
DeGeneres, who also owns a home in Los Angeles, declined to comment to the Journal on the price boost on her property.
