Faris, 30, filed her petition in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split from Indra, 28.
According to court papers, the couple married in June 2004 and separated last month. Faris has requested that she not be required to pay any spousal support.
In addition to her recurring role as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie films, Faris also appeared in Brokeback Mountain and the comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend.
