Cary Elwes and his wife, photographer Lisa Marie, are the proud parents of a beautiful and healthy baby girl named Dominique, the actor's rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The baby arrived Tuesday at 10:41 p.m. at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She weighed 7 lbs., 2 oz.

Elwes, 44, has appeared in more than 50 films, including The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Liar, Liar. He will next be seen in Georgia Rule, with Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman and Lindsay Lohan.

Elwes and his wife met in 1991 at a Malibu chili cook-off.
