Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper have split after four months of marriage, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Esposito filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Esposito is seeking spousal support and requests that the court deny any financial support for Cooper. She's also asking that he pay her legal fees.
Esposito, 35, and Cooper, 32, wed in late December after announcing their engagement in October.
A rep for Esposito said in a statement on Wednesday: "Jennifer Esposito has filed for divorce. She asks that you respect her privacy at this time."
Cindy Guagenti, a rep for Cooper, said in another statement: "The divorce was mutual and they've been separated for quite a while."
TMZ.com was first to report the divorce filing.
Esposito appeared in last year's Best Picture Oscar winner Crash and starred in the 2005-06 WB series Related. Cooper starred in the short-lived 2005 FOX sitcom Kitchen Confidential and appeared in last summer's Wedding Crashers.
