• Hilary Duff, enjoying a girls' night out with sister Haylie at Beverly Hills favorite Mr. Chow, eating water dumplings and iced water with lemon canoes. According to a fellow diner, Duff was making big arm movements as she chatted and giggled with everyone around her.

• Mischa Barton, sticking close to Rumer Willis while spending her evening at Hollywood lounge Teddy's. The duo held court at a back table, chatting and smoking while several of their friends danced. Also making the club scene: Nicky Hilton, sans boyfriend David Katzenberg, who also kept a low profile at her table with her group of friends. Club regular Lindsay Lohan, in a short dress, arrived with a posse and then roamed the room. When she wasn't scoping the scene, Lohan sat with her friends at a back table or danced at the deejay booth.

• Debra Messing, celebrating the new movie Away From Her during The Cinema Society dinner at the SoHo Grand Hotel. The Will & Grace star, in Catherine Malandrino with her Diane Von Furstenberg coat slung over her good arm, opened up to us about why she's been wearing a short black cast lately. "It was a skiing accident. I was having a ball in Deer Valley. I fell, and I fell wrong." Still, the fashion-conscious star has found her silver lining: "Now I'm thinking of getting a bedazzler and bejeweling my cast or maybe talking to Van Cleef and Arpels or Harry Winston."

• Rocker Jon Bon Jovi, discussing his role on American Idol over a dinner of veal tenderloin medallions at West Hollywood Italian eatery Il Sole.

• Adam Brody, hanging with a group of friends in the "orange room" at the Stoli Hotel in Los Angeles during its launch party. The traveling venue, which is strictly for parties and events, includes different colored rooms dedicated to each flavor of Stoli vodka. That '70s Show's Danny Masterson was the night's deejay, while Paris Hilton caught up with friend James Blunt in an outdoor area downstairs. But first, she collected some swag, including Power Crunch protein bars, jackets from Punkin' & Sweetie and a surfboard.
