Fergie Goes to Lunch with Her Favorite Weapon | Fergie
• Fergie, protecting herself while out in Los Angeles. Shielding herself from the sun (thanks to a hat and some oversized shades) and any possible attackers (that's where her mini-spiked mace ball comes in) the singer made a fashion statement as she headed to lunch with a friend.

• Gwyneth Paltrow, dining by candlelight with longtime friend Ross Mathews (a.k.a. Ross the Intern from the Tonight Show) at Orso in Los Angeles. On their table: sparkling water, red wine, hot tea and Italian fare. Paltrow, in a white shawl, shared funny stories with her dinner date. Says an onlooker: "They seemed like great friends." Upon leaving, the pair asked the bartender to snap a picture, posing with their arms around each other.

• Claire Danes, exchanging pleasantries with Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay. The duo ran into each other at Peak Performance gym in Manhattan. According to an onlooker, the actresses swapped a 'hello' kiss and then went off to separate trainers.

• Hilary Swank, flying with her dog Karoo from New York's LaGuardia International Airport to Richmond, Va. The actress kept her frequent-flying pooch under wraps – stowing Karoo under the seat in front of her. And her furry friend kept a low profile ... until she started barking.

• Comic dream team Jimmy Kimmel, Johnny Knoxville and Tracy Morgan, enjoying a guy's night outing at Saddle Ranch Chop House in West Hollywood. The trio laughed hysterically over many drinks at an inside table, an onlooker tells us.
