The two-time Olympic medalist – who turned 25 on Tuesday, the same day he won the disco-ball trophy on Dancing – poses the question himself for PEOPLE.com's camera, asking Hough in his best TV interviewer's voice, "Is there a relationship between you and Apolo Ohno?" (You'll have to watch the video to find out!)
The pair also dish on their new-found fame ("Aren't you that dancer guy from that one show?"), competitors Joey Fatone ("Joey's crazy") and Laila Ali ("She's really down to earth ... a lot of fun, though") and what Ohno plans to do with that disco ball trophy. Hint: Appropriately enough, it involves music.
