• Birthday boy Mark Wahlberg, celebrating his 36th with a round of golf and his own entourage of friends on the green at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles.

• Princess Fiona just had to see the castle. Cameron Diaz, in Paris to promote Shrek the Third, and a friend took off to visit the Château de Versailles. The pair passed practically unnoticed as they toured the celebrated Galerie des Glaces. And there was more culture on the agenda: Diaz, in a white T-shirt, gold necklace and jeans, returned to Paris and hit the L'Orangerie in the Tuileries Gardens. Afterward, Diaz made a private visit to the Musée d'Orsay, which stayed open after regular hours for her.

• How to cool off on a hot day in the Valley? Go ice-skating, of course. Nicole Richie, clad in jeans, a beige top and white hat drove up to the Culver City Ice Arena in her black Mercedes G Wagon. According to a source, the Simple Life star met up with a girlfriend – and then the two hit the ice.

• Dave Navarro, digging into a guitar-shaped birthday cake during an early 40th birthday celebration at Body English in Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel. The rocker – whose actual birthday is June 7 – partied hard. An onlooker tells us: "He smoked about two packs of cigarettes." Earlier in the night, the hotel offered Navarro the ultimate birthday gift – dedicating a glass case featuring his personal items.

• Entourage star Adrian Grenier, partying with pals at Hollywood hotspot Winston's. The reserved star sat with his group of friends – and later in the night, he greeted model-actress Sofia Vergara when she arrived.
