Bonaduce, 47, is also requesting visitation rights for their daughter, 12, and son, 6, according to the Superior Court papers filed May 19 and released Thursday. Bonaduce requests that he get $3.2 million.
In April, Gretchen Bonaduce, 41, filed for divorce after 16 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
"This divorce couldn't be more amicable," Bonaduce tells PEOPLE. "In fact, we're still living in the same house. Gretchen is my best friend, and she still helps me with my career."
Adds Gretchen: "I couldn't love Danny more, but our marriage just didn't work out."
The couple aired their marital issues and Bonaduce's substance abuse troubles on Breaking Bonaduce, which last was broadcast in 2006 on VH1.
