The 39-year-old Kimmel returns to his late-night show Tuesday for the first time since having emergency surgery last Wednesday to remove his appendix.
"I feel much better now and am delighted to announce that Brad and Angelina may choose to adopt my appendix and give it a loving home," he told PEOPLE in a statement Monday.
The show, halted to give Kimmel time to recover, resumes with guests comedian Don Rickles and jazz singer Keely Smith.
