Daniel Radcliffe: I'd Never Date an Actress

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe may be a good kisser, but the single actor has trouble finding appropriate smooching partners.

Radcliffe, who turns 18 on July 23, mainly meets girls through work, he says in the August issue of Details. But that's a problem.

"I think it would be very hard to go out with an actress, because they're mad," he says. "Some actresses are just insane. I've never worked with a nasty actress – they're all absolutely delightful. But completely barking."

But unlike other young celebs, he doesn't go to nightclubs. "All it takes is for me to be seen chatting up a girl for [tabloids] to, you know, make up some crappy headline about me being a sex rat or whatever they call it."

Still, although Potter producer David Heyman says Radcliffe is "unquestionably interested in the opposite sex," he wasn't so excited about his nude onstage makeout sessions with costar Joanna Christie in the London play Equus.

"It's the least arousing process," he says. "Jo's beautiful, but after you've gone through it a hundred times with an audience there ..."

But he'll continue to pursue such edgy roles after the Potter franchise ends. In addition to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, in theaters July 11, he has two more of the films to make.

And unlike millions of fans of the series, he's relieved that it's ending. "[I'm] the only kid in the world who doesn't want an eighth Harry Potter book," he quips.
