Jennifer Murphy, a former contestant on The Apprentice, filed for divorce after a year of marriage to Extreme Makeover dentist Dr. William Dorfman, papers show.
Murphy, 28, cited irreconcilable differences in her petition filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday – which she also listed as the date of separation.
Murphy met Dorfman, now 48, at the 2004 Miss USA pageant, when she was Miss Oregon and he was in the audience. Their romance developed a year later when Murphy was cast in an ad for teeth whitening by Dorfman's company.
They married on July 7, 2006 in a non-denominational ceremony at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
