Kelly Clarkson, sliding in under the radar at a taping of CMT's Cross Country special with singers Miranda Lambert and Jack Ingram at Nashville's City Hall. The former American Idol champ, in a dark T-shirt, jeans and a black cap, sat in a roped-off VIP area on a riser near the back of the venue. Clarkson – who came with a group of friends – stayed for the whole taping and, according to a CMT staffer, "was singing along, especially to Miranda's songs 'Kerosene' and 'Famous In a Small Town.'"
Sean "Diddy" Combs, shopping like crazy at Fred Segal in West Hollywood. Diddy followed up his spree with lunch – a noon pit stop in the Mauro Café, to be exact – picking up a to-go container of pasta with pink vodka sauce. The usually blasé crowd of lunchers was pretty excited, even asking for photos with him, according to an onlooker.
Stevie Nicks, dueting with singer Vanessa Carlton on a song, "The One," from Carlton's forthcoming album Heroes and Thieves, during a showcase at the Roxy in Los Angeles. The former Fleetwood Mac singer was a little tentative about her part, telling the crowd, "I just learned the words to this song this week, so sorry if I mess it up." Still, the duet went off without a hitch, and Nicks then found a seat in a VIP booth where she watched the rest of Carlton's set.
