• Also at the restaurant that night: Emmy Rossum, celebrating her debut EP, Inside Out, with two friends and her boyfriend Justin Siegel, an A&R executive at Interscope Records. Over dessert, the actress-turned-singer was spotted cozying up with her beau.
• Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, rocking out to the Polyphonic Spree in the VIP room of the Blender Sessions at the ck IN2U music lounge at Chicago's Hard Rock Hotel. The musically-inclined duo took pictures with fans and sipped beers before heading back to their room.
• Laura Dern and her rocker hubby Ben Harper, doting on their children, Jaya, 2, and Ellery, 5, during a fun-filled dinner at Wabi Sabi in Venice, Calif.'s Abbott Kinney neighborhood. Even though the two dined with a large party (about 10 guests), they still managed to have a romantic time, stealing kisses while still tending to their children. For dinner, Dern opted for a mixed green salad, and the group shared sushi rolls and tempura dishes. On their way out, Harper gave his young daughter a kiss on the forehead before he and Dern both thanked the staff, walking out hand-in-hand with their children.
• Uma Thurman, enjoying an intimate meal with financier (and rumored new beau) Arpad Busson at Japonica in New York. The pair took a corner table as they ate their sushi. And the two have been spotted around the city together, reportedly taking in a recent Police concert.
