On the heels of landing the job to host the Super Bowl pre-game show, the hardest working man in show business has also been tapped to emcee the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards, it was announced Monday.
"Ryan Seacrest appeals to a broad audience, including the highly desirable young adult demographic, so he should serve as a magnet for attracting a diverse array of viewers to our Emmy telecast," said Dick Askin, chairman and chief executive officer of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Seacrest also works for FOX, which in addition to airing the Seacrest-hosted American Idol will be broadcasting both the Super Bowl in February and the Sept. 16 Emmys.
Seacrest also anchors E!'s newscast and has a Los Angeles radio show on KIIS-FM.
