• Table for two? While working on Major Movie Star in Shreveport, La., Jessica Simpson took time out to dine at the upscale Superior Steakhouse with a good pal – her pooch. Only there was a small hitch: Management stepped in, asking her peppy partner to leave Simpson's table. So, for the time being, the pair were temporarily separated.
• Diddy, helping club owner pal Noah Tepperberg celebrate his birthday at Marquee in New York. The super single rapper had no problem chatting up all the ladies who approached him and, at one point, he earned a lap dance from one aggressive clubgoer. Also there: in-demand producer Timbaland, who arrived with a slew of people. Hanging out in Diddy's banquette for a bit, the producer played a few of his hit songs for the crowd (including "SexyBack," which he produced and performed with Justin Timberlake).

• NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal, surprising hand-washers when he accidentally walked into the women's restroom at Nikki Midtown during the pre-party for Zo's Million Dollar Shootout. Realizing his mistake, Shaq headed across the venue to the men's side while laughing off his embarrassing faux pas. Also at the party: fellow basketball star Alonzo Mourning and Lil Kim, standing hand-in-hand with Ray J.
