The former Deadwood actor, 27, was placed in Jackson County, Mich., jail following his arrest at 2:30 a.m. At the scene, Nichols was administered a breath test, though results of his blood-alcohol level have not been made available.
Nichols, who starred in HBO's now-canceled John From Cincinnati, has been living for the summer at Clark Lake in Michigan, near his extended family, the newspaper reports.
