While Monday brought a closed-door hearing in the custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, it also delivered some relief to Spears with regard to her pet Yorkshire terrier.
Spears, 25, is off the hook as far as the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is concerned.
The group's Los Angeles branch "has received written confirmation from a veterinarian that Britney Spears's dog London has received proper medical attention for a leg injury."
Questions were raised about the Yorkie's condition on Friday, when SPCA president Madeline Bernstein confirmed to PEOPLE that officers attempted to contact the pop singer after receiving complaints that London was in a cast or had broken its leg and had not received proper care.
"Over the past day or two we started receiving phone calls and e-mails from people that were concerned about the dogs" in Spears's care, Bernstein said.
But all that appeared to have been cleared up by Monday. "spcaLA would like to thank Ms. Spears for her cooperation on this matter as well as members of the public for their ongoing concern for the welfare of animals," the group said in a statement.
