• Hilary Duff, walking through the lobby of dog-friendly Nine Zero Hotel in Boston with her Chihuahua Lola. From the doggie room service menu, Duff ordered several Ambassador Kissie-Face Frappes – canine concoctions of blended raspberries, yogurt, honey, banana and cinnamon, all delivered on a silver tray.

•Nicole Richie sitting in the front row at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas watching Joel Maddden's band Good Charlotte open for Justin Timberlake. Later, the pregnant Richie and dad-to-be Madden dined at Nobu in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

• Meanwhile, several days earlier Justin Timberlake, dining at Nobu in Las Vegas's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino with best pal Trace Ayala and seven other friends. Sporting a blue shirt and jeans, the singer acted animated over dinner, telling stories as the group feasted on a huge sushi spread.

• Jude Law and his Sleuth costar Michael Caine, relaxing on the terrace of the Hotel Cipriani, just outside of Venice. After making the promotional rounds with a stop at the Venice Film Festival, the actors sipped white wine and chatted, enjoying the view of the hotel's private jetty.

Tra di Noi in Malibu

• Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough – a.k.a. the Backstreet Boys – causing a bit of a frenzy as they lunched together at Tra di Noi, an Italian eatery in Malibu. Even as the guys tried to enjoy their paninis, pasta dishes and pizza inside, photographers and fans gathered outside of the restaurant eager to snap their pictures. Sounds like good news for their upcoming record, Unbreakable, out in October.

• Batman himself, Christian Bale, sneaking into Chicago's Sushi Samba in jeans and a baseball cap. The Dark Knight star dined on sushi with his wife, Sibi, then took it upstairs to the rooftop where they partied with the movie's stuntmen.
