A misdemeanor charge of hit-and-run was dropped Tuesday against David Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela Bach, her attorney tells PEOPLE.

Proof of compensation to the person she hit in January was submitted to the court, and lawyer Mark Geragos said the victim "no longer wanted to press charges."

On Monday, Bach had turned herself in to a Van Nuys, Calif., jail to be booked for the charge. She was released on her own recognizance shortly thereafter.

Eight months ago, Bach crashed into 26-year-old Nicole Valdez's car in the San Fernando Valley and fled the scene. Valdez says damages totaled $1,377.

Meanwhile, Bach's divorce with Hasselhoff, 55, continues. Earlier this month, Bach agreed to move out of their previously shared family home. The ex-couple will face off in a trial beginning Jan. 28 to settle their finances.
