3 Questions for ...
, starring in the upcoming action adventure Iron Man
1 After taking time off to raise your two kids, Apple, 3, and 16-month-old Moses, what brought you out of mommy retirement?
When my son was about 6 months old, I started to feel the fire again—and it had been a long time. I became okay with the fact that there's a part of me that's an artist, and it was okay to work. [But] I waited until he was a year old so that I'd be there every day and he could have all my attention.
2 How did you get your body ready for action?
I had an amazing trainer and worked out twice a day. And I did dance cardio, which made me feel like a complete nerd!
3 Since you chose Iron Man
as your comeback film, does that mean you're a secret comic book dork?
I didn't know anything about comics except for my brother's Underoos in 1982.
