ONE DAY AT A TIME
After Keith's rehab crisis, he and Nicole get by with a little help from friends
A week after husband Keith Urban entered alcohol rehab, Nicole Kidman rounded up her closest Aussie pals for an Oct. 25 dinner at Naomi Watts's L.A. home. It wasn't a pity party. "We didn't talk about it," Simon Baker (The Devil Wears Prada) says of Urban's recent trouble. Nicole "is a survivor," the actor adds. "She just keeps moving forward." While Kidman is keeping busy—fitting in pilates classes and work meetings and spending time with her sister Antonia—she made sure, before returning to the London set of The Golden Compass, to visit her husband at the facility where he is being treated. The country world is also rallying behind the singer (whose new album Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing will be released on schedule Nov. 7). At the Oct. 26 Country Music Television event at Hollywood's Kodak Theater honoring Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton said, "I love Keith. He's going to be just fine." Fellow rehab alumna Wynonna Judd urged Urban to "realize we're not alone" and to take advantage of "the great support group out there."
DATE IN LONDON
After some two months apart—and vehement his-n-hers denials of a real life Break-Up—Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn finally rendezvoused last weekend in London, where Vaughn has been filming the comedy Fred Claus since early October. The long-distance-lovers' reunion seemed to be mostly a private affair (the two holed up at the Dorchester hotel), but they did venture out to catch the Wicked matinee Oct. 28 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. During intermission they even grabbed a drink at the theater's public bar. The couple weren't spotted again, and Vaughn was back on the set Monday morning. But no worries: "They are still together," a Vaughn source tells Scoop. "They are very happy."
Backstage on Oct. 31 ex-contestant Shanna Moakler was delighted to learn that opera's Il Divo would perform on the Nov. 1 show. "That's my band!" she squealed.... Emmitt Smith's partner, Cheryl Burk, has at least one devoted fan in the studio. "I fly down every week, since Cheryl says she could get kicked off anytime," her mom, Sherrie Burk, tells Scoop. Not that elimination seemed likely: When Burk and Smith scored two perfect 10s, everyone—from the press to the craft-service workers—erupted in cheers.
Model citizen? Naomi Campbell's Oct. 25 arrest for assault is just the latest in a long line of legal woes
OCT. 25, 2006: The supermodel, 36, is arrested in her native London for allegedly assaulting her drug counselor. Her rep had no comment.
JULY 13, 2006: Ex-assistant Amanda Brack sues, claiming Campbell attacked her three times, spat in her face and threw her passport in a pool.
JUNE 26, 2006: Maid Gaby Gibson accuses Campbell of hitting her during a dispute over a lost pair of jeans.
MARCH 30, 2006: During another denim dispute, maid Ana Scolavino claims the model pelted her with a crystal-covered BlackBerry. The charge is pending.
AUG. 7, 2004: Cops are called to Campbell's Manhattan apartment after she allegedly punches maid Millicent Burton. Campbell claimed self-defense and no further action was taken.
DEC. 4, 1998: Aide Georgina Galanis sues, saying her boss threatened to toss her from a car. Campbell settled and took anger management classes.

BROOKE & KATIE: NEW B.F.F.S?
Despite her very public battle with Tom Cruise, when Brooke Shields met up with his fiancée, Katie Holmes, at a charity event in Pacific Palisades, Calif., Oct. 29, the two "were so lovely to each other," says an onlooker. Perhaps that's because they go way back—to the September premiere of Grey's Anatomy, at least, which they watched together in Shields's living room. (After Cruise slammed Shields for using medication to treat her postpartum depression, he famously apologized in August.) The two new moms—who gave birth on the same day at the same L.A. hospital—are "absolutely" friends, Shields told Access Hollywood at the event, which benefitted Hands of Change, an employment and mentoring program for women. "You never know how life is going to bring people together."
THE UGLY BETTY WORLD TOUR
America Ferrera isn't the only bespectacled Betty on the block
Ana María Orozco in Colombia's Yo Soy Betty la Fea ("I am Betty, the ugly one").
Alexandra Neldel plays ugly "Lisa" in Germany's Verliebt in Berlin ("In love in Berlin").
Nelli Uvarova stars in Russia's Ne Rodis' Krasivoy ("Be not born beautiful").
Angélica Vale in Mexico's La Fea Más Bella ("The most beautiful ugly woman").
Dutch cutie Nyncke Beekhuyzen plays The Netherlands' titular Lotte.
Rachel Dratch lookalike Ruth Núñz stars in Spain's Yo Soy Bea ("I am Bea").
Ferrera stars in the U.S. version, produced by Salma Hayek.
Kiersten Warren, 41, who plays Nora Huntington, the crazy out-of-the-blue ex who wreaks havoc on Lynette's (Felicity Huffman) life—and hits on her husband!—tells Scoop what it's like moving onto the always wacky Wisteria Lane.
Were you intimidated joining a hit show?
They made me feel so welcome. Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria told me I knocked their socks off. Teri Hatcher [told me] what an addition to the show [I was].... It was nice. You felt like the cool kids finally invited you to eat lunch with them.
How are people reacting to the character?
It's great fun when you're running through an airport and the security guard says, "You're a very mean girl!" It's like, "Thanks!"
Which star is most like your Housewives character?
Probably Felicity. I do think of her as smart and in control and always having the right answers.
What's it like working with the Emmy winner?
She's a dream. She has such a wry sense of humor.... We'll be laughing so hard between scenes and then we have to stop and go, "Back to hating you!" If you can't show up to work and have a good time, what's the point?
If you could film a love scene with any one of the guys in the cast, who would it be?
That would be a hard choice! I'd make them do rock, paper, scissors for it.
ON THE BLOCK
THE REAL PLAYBOY MANSION
PRICE $35 million
PLACE Bel Air, Calif.
Eight years after he bought this 1940 Tudor-style mansion for $6,469,000, Nicolas Cage is asking for five times that amount. It may sound overpriced, but not for Hollywood historians. The nearly 12,000-sq.-ft. castle was once owned by crooner Dean Martin—who made sure a bar was in almost every room. Tom Jones bought the property in 1976, adding orange shag carpet and a red English phone booth in the backyard. Cage, in turn, restored the mansion, accentuating the original railings and molding. The only problem? Jones asked for his phone booth back.
