INSIDER'S GUIDE TO AREA
What makes Area the new go-to destination in West Hollywood? Insider scouted out the celeb magnet

ELBOW ROOM
"It's very open, so you don't feel crammed," club regular ELISHA CUTHBERT tells Insider of the space. "You can actually hear the people you've come with."

MERGERS
On Oct. 19, BRODY JENNER and LAUREN CONRAD "were kissing half the night," says an onlooker. One week earlier, LINDSAY LOHAN cozied up to JAMES FRANCO until 1 a.m.

CLUB GRUB
On opening night, JESSICA SIMPSON snacked on mini grilled cheese sandwiches. Area's usual fare includes finger foods and classic faves like shrimp cocktail, mac and cheese and Kobe beef sliders.

THE VIBE
No bathroom brawls or catfights so far—and even exes make nice. When NICOLE RICHIE spotted Jenner with Conrad, she simply "said hello," says an onlooker. She also chatted for 20 minutes with DJ A.M.

TRUMP'S B'DAY BEAU?

IVANKA TRUMP rang in her 25th birthday at Pure nightclub in Vegas with 10 pals, a New York City skyline-shaped birthday cake—and TOPHER GRACE. Although Grace made an incognito entrance in a Teen Wolf Halloween mask, the pair made no effort to hide, dancing and cuddling for most of the night, and even sharing a quick kiss. A birthday boyfriend? Reps for both said they would not comment on their clients' personal lives.

FAST TAKES

SARAH JESSICA PARKER (top) and husband MATTHEW BRODERICK gave their birthday boy, James Wilkie, 4, a playdate with the Wiggles at N.Y.C.'s Madison Square Garden Oct. 28. Then Mom had the family and band pose for "the Parker-Broderick Christmas photo!"

LANCE BASS toasted boyfriend REICHEN LEHMKUHL's book Here's What We'll Say—about being gay in the military—at the Abbey in L.A. Oct. 23. "I was the first one to read it," Bass told Insider. Next up for Bass: a role in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

At the Playboy Halloween bash in L.A. Oct. 28, TRAVIS BARKER made out with PARIS HILTON while SHANNA MOAKLER partied nearby. But—in contrast to the Hilton-Moakler confrontation Oct. 3—no punches were thrown.
