REALITY

Flavor Flav is no different from the last Bachelor, Dr. Travis Stork. Even with the benefit of reality-engineered romance, the rapper was still alone. Or so it appeared when things ended between him and Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander, his choice at the end of the first season of Flavor of Love. Season 2 just launched with 20 PYTs arriving at a house that must have been decorated by Pimp My McMansion. In short order, one girl was thrown out for slamming another against a wall. The show is more over-the-top raunchy than it needs to be—the girls, who down the booze, don't hold back on the vulgar insults, and the first episode ended with humiliating bathroom humor—but it's entertaining for the way it trashes Bachelor clichés. Flavor Flav plants a mole among the women to fill him in on their behavior. When she later visits him in secret to deliver her report, he nods, then says, "Huh?" He's already forgotten everything she said.
