TV's most genial talk (and 2007 Oscar) host just started her fourth season with a new set, a new deejay, the DVD release of old highlights and the same dorky dance moves.
ON A NEW SEGMENT, THE LIFE LIST We got the idea from a viewer who has cystic fibrosis and started making lists of what she wanted to accomplish before she was 40. One of the things on my life list to accomplish: I need to learn how to use a computer. If someone has turned it on, I can scroll. But it takes me 10 minutes to get the arrow in the right place.
ON BEING A DANCING FOOL You know, it makes people happy. I danced with Beyoncé on the show, and afterwards she goes, "You got rhythm!" I said, "I have rhythm, but I can't dance."
ON ACTING, NOT TALKING Everybody—my team, my manager and agent—wants me to do a movie. We're still back and forth about a remake of Oh, God! But my show is the greatest job. When it stops being my favorite thing to do is when I'll stop doing it.
