Ugly Betty's Mark Indelicato
ABC's hit about Betty Suarez and her fashion misadventures has given us many good things, including Vanessa Williams having a lovely time going over the top. But it merits special props for Betty's nephew, Justin, a kid in love with fashion, pop music, show tunes—the sort of enthusiasms that, in someone slightly older, call up questions about sexual orientation. The show treats this kid, played with a happy lack of self-consciousness by 12-year-old Mark Indelicato, with affection and understanding. He's fabulous. Or destined to be.
