Sharon Stone was awarded an undisclosed amount in libel damages (which she plans to donate to charity) from Britain's Daily Mail April 27. The paper had claimed in two 2005 articles that the actress, 48, left her son Roan, 5, sleeping in a car while she dined with "a mystery male companion" at The Ivy in London last year. If Limbaugh meets the required conditions for 18 months, the charges will be dropped. "I think this resolution was the rational one for both sides," says his lawyer.

Howard Marshall Il, whom she married in 1994 at 26 when he was 89. A lower court had ruled the inheritance belongs to Marshall's son. In the decision, which overturns a separate, earlier ruling (PEOPLE, Jan. 24, 2005), Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Smith can pursue her suit in federal court.
