Picks and Pans Review: The Triangle Factory Fire Scandal

UPDATED 01/29/1979 at 01:00 AM EST Originally published 01/29/1979 at 01:00 AM EST

NBC (9 p.m. ET)

The fire in a New York garment district sweatshop in 1911 took nearly 150 lives, mostly young Jewish immigrant women. This dramatization is long, but the cast—including Tovah Feldshuh, Stephanie Zimbalist and Tom Bosley—are affecting, even if they are ultimately engulfed, as actors as well as characters, by the holocaust.
